MOMENTUM is designed to work with as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what the app stores, what optional Apple services it can use, and what happens if you contact support.
The short version
MOMENTUM does not require an account, does not contain advertising, and does not sell your personal information. Your workout preferences, favourites, progress and history are primarily stored on your device. Optional iCloud and Apple Health features operate only when you choose to enable them.
Information stored by MOMENTUM
The app stores information needed to provide its features, including settings, workout preferences, selected equipment, favourites, planned weekly sessions, workout history and progress.
This information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to use the optional iCloud backup feature described below.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect MOMENTUM to Apple Health, the app can save qualifying completed workouts to HealthKit. MOMENTUM requests Health access only for functionality associated with recording your workouts.
Health access is optional and can be declined. Health information is handled through Apple Health and is not used by MOMENTUM for advertising, profiling or sale.
You can review or change MOMENTUM's Health permissions at any time in Apple's Health or Settings apps.
iCloud backup
If you enable iCloud backup, MOMENTUM can store a copy of its app state using Apple's iCloud key-value storage so that supported MOMENTUM data can be restored on your devices.
This feature uses the iCloud account configured on your device. MOMENTUM does not operate a separate cloud account system or maintain its own user database for this feature.
Notifications
If you enable workout reminders, MOMENTUM schedules notifications on your device for the days and time you select. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.
Support requests
If you contact MOMENTUM through the support form, the information you enter — such as your name, email address, support category and message — is used only to respond to your request and investigate the issue you report.
The support form is delivered using FormSubmit, a third-party form delivery service. FormSubmit states that submissions may be retained by its service for up to 30 days. Do not include health information or other sensitive personal information in a support message unless it is genuinely necessary.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
MOMENTUM does not use third-party advertising SDKs and is not designed to track you across apps or websites. MOMENTUM does not sell personal information.
Children
MOMENTUM is a general fitness app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or registration system. If you believe personal information has been submitted to support by a child, please contact us so it can be addressed.
Your choices
- You can use the core app without connecting Apple Health.
- You can choose whether to enable iCloud backup.
- You can choose whether to allow workout notifications.
- You can remove locally stored MOMENTUM data by deleting the app, subject to any data separately held in iCloud or Apple Health.
- You can ask about a support submission through the Support page.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if MOMENTUM's features or data handling change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
